WelcomeWelcome! We're glad that you're visiting our program site. You couldn’t have chosen a better time to show interest in Counseling. Nationally, school counselors and counselor educators continue to make positive impact in public K-12 schools and in higher education settings respectively. The Counseling Program offers three graduate-level programs: the program in school counseling, leading to a Master of Arts degree in Education, the program in school counseling leading to a Sixth-Year Diploma, and the program in school counselor education leading to a Ph.D. in Counselor Education. All programs in Counseling emphasize educational equity and academic access and opportunity as related to eliminating cultural oppression. The Counseling Program admits students once per year beginning in the fall. Please note that applications for admission beginning in the fall are due February 15th. Further information can be found in the section entitled “Future Students”. If you have further questions please contact the Program Coordinator, Dr. Rachelle Pérusse, firstname.lastname@example.org or 860-486-0266.
